Everything was perfect, perfect location not far from bus station and taxi station to Kamikochi National Park as well as convenience store, fairly nice experience. I had big room with a balcony and coffeemaker, for example. The staff were polite and superfriendly all the time.

As a budget traveler, I really appreciated the good bus service into Kamikochi, which made it easy to explore the area. The delicious evening meals served by the friendly lady of the house were a highlight of our stay.

The two lovely ladies at the guesthouse were absolute game-changers during our stay, helping us navigate our way to Takayama and Kamikochi. The location was perfect for catching the sunrise at Kamikochi, just a short 20-minute taxi ride away. The onsen was a treat after a long day of exploring, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Despite the language barrier with the kind lady at the office, we had no trouble communicating and even received a generous offering of vegetables for dinner. The owner even went out of their way to pick us up when we missed the last bus. The room was spacious and comfortable, with warm futon beds and blankets. We also enjoyed the option of a special dinner, Suki-Shabu, for an extra fee. the guesthouse provided amenities such as Wi-Fi, a 24-hour reception, a leisure/TV room, and a shared kitchen. this was a mind-blowingly fantastic experience, and we would highly recommend it to others looking for a non-smoking, pet-free, air-conditioned accommodation with various outdoor activities like hiking, cycling.

Reasonable price, free onsen, 1,000 yen dinner. Close to Kamikochi NP, clean room, heater for a small charge. Quiet, saw monkeys from room. Would return.

My stay at Guesthouse Tomoshibi was a delightful experience. The location was great, allowing easy access to Sawando Bus Terminal and Kamikochi. The owner was warm and friendly, making me feel right at home. The highlight was the delicious sukiyaki dinner served for only 1,000 yen. The fall scenery outside was breathtaking, with vibrant autumn colors blanketing the mountains. I highly recommend this cozy guesthouse for a perfect getaway.
The futon in my room was thin and uncomfortable, which affected my sleep quality. Additionally, the shower located next to the onsen was not private, which could be inconvenient for some guests.
